Starfish Learning Center is a non-profit after school program in the North Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. SLC has been a safe haven for troubled and at risk youth in the community since 1997. In addition to providing homework help, SLC also teaches students life skills and moral values. Students in the program also take part in activities such as arts and crafts, music lessons, and sports.
Starfish Learning Center needs architectural drawings to be submitted to the city of Chicago in order to obtain a permit for the documentation of existing condition. This building permit is required so that we can continue to operate as a non-profit after school program serving the community of the North Rogers Park neighborhood. Our building is roughly 3,300 square feet. The first floor is devoted entirely to the program while the smaller 2nd floor unit houses the directors of the center.
We do have floor plans but they do not include the measurements of the walls and ceilings.
Starfish Learning Center would like to obtain the required building permit as soon as possible.
