Project Description

We are developing a project to combat human trafficking and child labor in Cameroon, Africa where 17.4 percent of girls' age 10 to 14 work and only 64 percent of primary school entrants are likely to reach grade 5, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Cameroon is a source, transit, and destination country for trafficking of children for the purposes of forced labor and commercial sexual exploitation. The objective of BLOG is to be an advocate for the victims of child labor/ human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation and their families in Cameroon, West Africa. We want to recover, rehabilitate, and rebuild the lives of these victims through a boarding educational institution, health clinic and transitional living services to enable them to maximize their personal potential.

Project was completed by Cobrooke Creative.

Timeline
We need to submit our proposal ASAP. We would like for the facility to be designed to accommodate green technology if it is possible. We are interested in solar energy paneling and solar water. Our current budget is US $291,000 which is about XAF $140,000,000. We may need to build in stages. Ultimately, our goal is to expand the school so that the current dorm facilities within the school will become classes and detached dormitories will be added on as the outreach project is expanded.
