Project Description

San Francisco Parks Alliance was establish in 1971 to encourage philanthropy and stewardship of parks. We fiscally sponsor over 100 community groups across San Francisco who are doing a variety of open space improvement projects from major playground renovations to gardens to activation events. One of our fiscally-sponsored projects, Northridge CommUnity Garden is a food garden in Bayview/Hunters point that is managed by the residents of a low income housing cooperative. They have begun planting but they are in need of an expert eye to look at the space and advise them on how to utilize it most effectively. They need to identify a suitable place for a toolshed and shade structure as well as more garden beds and fruit trees. We would like to have a garden plan as well as assistance in identifying materials.

We would like to schedule the initial site visit in January since they are in desperate need of a toolshed and shade structure.
