Position: Project architect for The Public Theater Renovation, a redesign of the street lobby entry including the addition of a large exterior stoop, and restoration of the historic landmarked facade. As team leader, responsibilities include design conception and presentation to client and public agencies, design and detail development in consultation with the Department of Design and Construction, Landmarks Preservation Commission review and approval, consultant coordination, LEED research and implementation, construction drawing production and management, and construction administration for both the historic facade restoration and the design intervention. The project is seeking LEED Silver certification. Project status: facade restoration complete, renovation of lobby currently under construction. Estimated completion date: winter 2011.
Murdock Young Architects, New York City: 2005 - 2007
Position: Project Architect for single family residential projects. Responsible for schematic design, design development and construction documents. Project leader for research into sustainable construction systems and energy efficient mechanical systems including solar electric generation, geo-thermal HVAC, green roofing, and high-performance insulating rain-screen walls.
Huff + Gooden Architects, Charleston, SC: 2002 - 2005
Position: Project Architect responsible for all phases of schematic design through construction administration for educational facilities, art and cultural history museums, federal government facilities renovations, single family residences, and national competitions.
Studio A + T Architects, New York City: 2000-2002
Position: Project designer and Project architect for medium scale sheet music storage and sorting facility. Responsible for design conception and development, detail implementation, and construction administration.
Metalworking, New York City: 1997 - 2000
Position: Detailer and fabricator for small scale, detail-intensive, custom metal furniture and architectural systems. Responsible for shop drawing production, detail development, design consultation, fabrication and installation. Projects include custom residential and retail furniture, operable wall systems, custom hardware, and public artworks.
