Nature Built Playground at YMCA Camp H.R. Erdman
Twenty-six firm employees contributed over 330 total man hours to build a 29,000-square-foot playground with natural materials and elements, the first of its kind in Hawaii. The playground was designed with input provided by children who attended a Design Day session earlier. The new playground will encourage awareness and dialogue of sustainability issues in addition to being a safe place for outdoor play. AHL was the only architecture firm to participate.
