19th Century Stone Barn

Ottsville, Pennsylvania
Project Description

The 19th Century Stone Barn is located in Ottsville, PA. The barn was repurposed for local cultural events, exhibits, concerts, weddings, and used partly for the reenactment of the Civil War. The barn was originally a dairy barn, and is now partially used for rescued horses and the upper floor is used as an event space.

Scope of work required completely digging out first level to create a higher ceiling (it was a dairy barn previously), and rebuild the entire lower level. The installment of new flooring, and glass-wall. Entire back of the barn was removed and replaced with glass, opening to the panoramic view.

Ottsville, PA. is a very tiny community, consisting of the fire department, a restaurant and a small grocery store. The community lacks services and event spaces, the barn allows the community to host their events. The barn's scenic view appeals to weddings and events.

The barn has been published many times in top magazines the United States.

Participants included myself and my husband who is a contractor.

Outcome
